Did you know that upwards of 90% of human trafficking survivors report a history of child sexual abuse? Knowing the signs of sexual abuse and grooming behaviors of offenders is vital to protect children. Join us to increase your own understanding of child sexual abuse, human trafficking, body safety, healthy relationships and online safety.

We are excited to collaborate this month with Internet Crimes Against Children Forensic Examiner Hollie Strand, who will share her expertise in keeping kids safe online.

Series Objectives:
• Understand the commonalities, differences and relationship between child sexual abuse and human trafficking.
• To highlight possible solutions to combat human trafficking and child sexual abuse in South Dakota.
• Understand what grooming looks like and how to encourage boundaries in all aspects of life.
• Minimize dangers to our children in our communities and online.
• Navigate the Internet and understand what happens when children “log on.”
• Appropriately respond to disclosures of abuse, and so much more.
