Barb (retired teacher of 39 years) have two daughters. Dave’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing and basketball. He is a member of the Court of the Table/Million Dollar Round Table and serves on the South Dakota State Council of Trustees/Investment Committee. Kara Flynn, Board Secretary Rapid City
Kara earned a BA in Latin American Studies and International Relations; from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in Geography from South Dakota State University. She serves on the boards of South Dakota Public Broadcasting Friends and Performing Arts Center of Rapid City. Kara and her husband, Leo, have two children: Leo, 19, and Nathaniel, 16. She enjoys skiing, hiking, reading
and music.

Dennis Aanenson, Sioux Falls

Dennis is the owner of A&B Business Solutions and he has been in the business equipment fi eld since 1985 when he worked for Best Business Products. After a year and half with the company Dennis was promoted to Sales Manager and helped grow sales from $4 million annually to $12 million. After he saw an opportunity to start his own business and improve upon many business practices that he felt were imperative for success, he purchased A&B Business, Inc. in 1993. Thanks to a strong legacy, clear vision and self-motivated team, the company has grown at a rate of 25% annually. He started A&B with one location and fi ve employees. Today A&B has locations in fi ve states with more than 120 full-time employees and provides a wide range of service and product o erings. Julie Anderson Friesen, Sioux Falls

Julie’s hometown is Sioux Falls. She earned degrees in English Literature and Art History from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Julie and her husband, Curt, have a son who is a college graduate, and a teen daughter in high school. She is the founder of Dakota Video & Post, LLC which she co-owns with her husband, Curt, and is the founder of Cinema Falls—an exhibitor of art house fi lm and a community of fi lm lovers. She launched Anderson Friesen Creative, LLC in 1996, and continues to provide creative direction, script writing and digital content and copywriting services for clients. Julie is a Silver Medal Award winner for Creative Excellence from the South Dakota Advertising Federation, a former adjunct instructor of writing at Augustana University and a Past President of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra.

Bobby Sundby, Rapid City

Bobby graduated from Augustana University, majoring in Health & Hospital Services and Business Administration. Bobby belongs to CCIM (Certifi ed Commercial Investment Member) and the PSIA Professional Ski Instructor Association (Level I Certifi cation).
Bobby is a past volunteer guitar instructor at CHS and he says, “I’ve always felt the mission and work of
Children’s Home was as legitimate and important as any nonprofi t’s work could possibly be. The kids were
so appreciative of learning guitar (or drums) and occasionally they would write songs and lyrics which
were amazing.”
Bobby enjoys playing music with the Crash Wagon and Lonely Rangers bands and on the worship team. He
also works as a PSIA Ski Instructor at Terry Peak on Fridays during the ski season. Bobby’s hobbies include
biking, canoeing and camping—but mostly working and playing music fi ll his time!.

Jill Weisser-Pekoske, Sioux Falls

Jill’s hometown is Sioux Falls. She graduated from DSU and taught physical education for three years before starting the Sioux Empire volleyball program. Jill then stepped into the family business at Weisser Distributing where she is an owner and outside sales director. Jill enjoys tenting, cooking, family gatherings, quilting, crocheting and hosting events. Jill says her perfect day involves starting a brisket/pork shoulder on the smoker at about 11:00 pm, smoking it all night, then having 25–35 family members over to play games, socializing, and eating a home cooked meal.
