Day School: A Fresh Start for Struggling Students

In Sioux Falls, Loving School offers an alternative educational setting for students who are facing challenges in their home school or school district. Our Day School program is designed to provide students with a supportive, structured environment where they can receive the individualized attention they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Day School is ideal for children who may be struggling due to behavioral or emotional challenges, including those related to trauma, ADHD, anxiety, or aggression. In this program, students receive a personalized curriculum that is tailored to their unique learning styles, with a focus on creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Key features of our Day School program include:

• Small Class Sizes: With a 1-to-6 staff-to-student ratio, students receive individualized support in all areas of their education.

• Differentiated Instruction: Our curriculum is designed to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that academic challenges are addressed while fostering social and emotional growth.

• Therapeutic Support: Students engage in weekly therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, to address any emotional or behavioral challenges they may be facing.

• Collaboration with Families: We work closely with families, engaging in family therapy sessions and keeping them informed of their child's progress through quarterly meetings and treatment plan updates.

• Access to Additional Services: Students can receive Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech/Language services as part of their individualized education plan (IEP), if applicable.

By partnering with our Day School program, school districts have the opportunity to rebuild the academic confidence of their students in a supportive environment, with the ultimate goal of reintegrating into their home school or school district when they are ready.
