It’s OK to not be OK.
Life’s ups and downs can be tough sometimes. And we don’t come into the world knowing how to be a parent, deal with stress, manage grief or regulate our emotions.
If you’re not OK, that’s fine. There’s help. It’s not your fault and you are not alone.
It’s OK to ask for help.
Good mental health is just as precious as good physical health. And there’s nothing wrong with seeking mental health care for yourself, a child or your family.
Some people have misconceptions about mental health care, like the mistaken belief that asking for help means you are weak. In fact, the opposite is true. Taking steps to get the help you or a loved one needs means you are strong enough to face your problems.
It’s OK to talk about your feelings.
Bottling up our feelings can lead to stress and loneliness. By sharing your feelings with a trusted friend or family member, you may strengthen your relationship with that person and understand your feelings better.
If there’s nobody you can open up to, explore the resources offered on this website or see a mental health provider.
