One Good Turn Creates Another
CHS friend and donor Linda Wells recently gifted all employees with a Stand for Good-branded backpack. Staff was encouraged to write thank-you cards, which the Foundation then sent to Linda.
As it turned out, the thank-you cards made Linda’s day!
She wrote, “I am overwhelmed by the love I receive from the Children’s Home Society and their staff. Their work is so important, and I would imagine often very difficult.”
“You each hold a special place in my heart for all you do for these children and families,” she continued. “Keep pouring good into the world, it will come back to you in unexpected ways.
P.S. I read every one.”
We’re thankful for Linda and our other supporters who share their love—and help us share ours.

With our recent wage increases it was mentioned that the relief staff were only eligible for a 2% increase, this is very unfair. These are the people we rely on the most when we are short-handed, which is quite often.
The people that work these positions are as important as anyone else here on campus, sometimes more so. Consideration needs to be taken when calculating wage increases to include them like the rest of us. Our turnover rates are so high, wouldn’t you like to keep the people that have proven over and over again that they are some of our most dependable staff?
