Lotus Boutique Accepting Donations

Leaving your home, and often times all that you own, can be scary and overwhelming. Individuals fleeing domestic violence many times experience those feelings once they have made that courageous decision to come to Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety.

To provide those staying in shelter with the essentials they may need, the Lotus Boutique is an important part of the shelter experience. Lotus Boutique is named after the Lotus flower, which symbolizes rebirth. It is stocked with women’s, men’s and children’s clothing of all sizes and styles. People staying in shelter visit the boutique to select clothing, shoes, jewelry and essentials—at no cost.

We are always looking for donations of gently used, in-season clothing to help fill the boutique and give options to those staying with us. Up to five bags or boxes of donated items can be accepted at a time.

CARING FOR THE KIDS:
Our Biggest Event of the Year!

CHS’s biggest annual fundraising event, now in its 27th year, is scheduled for August 6 and 7 in
Sioux Falls.

Caring For The Kids includes a dinner celebration followed the next day by a golf event. Nearly 100
volunteers are helping with the events, many of whom are CHS staff and their family members.
