NCA “Innovative Changemaker Award” Nomination
Tifanie Petro, Director of the Children’s Home Child Advocacy Center, has been nominated for the NCA Innovative Changemaker Award through National Children’s Alliance group. Congratulations, Tifanie!
NASW-SD Social Worker of the Year Nomination
Tina Graber, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Specialist, has been nominated for the SD Social Worker of the Year Award through the National Association of Social Workers group. Congratulations, Tina!
Honored in Traditional Lakota Ceremony
Brandi Tonkel, Lead Forensic Interviewer, was honored in a Lakota ceremony on the Pine Ridge reservation. Tonkel and FBI specialist Dannie Dosch received smudging, prayers, kind words and a special star quilt to honor their extended work with Indigenous children who are victims of sexual abuse or witnesses to violence. Nice work, Brandi!
