PET OF THE MONTH:

Meet Ava Goose. Ava’s mom is HR Representative Haley Sanow.Learn more about this adorable 15-week-old British Lab.

ASK THE CEO:

You Asked. We Answered.

A new question to Ask The CEO was submitted on the GOOD WORKS portal:

Would you be willing to consider giving staff their birthday off with pay or as a paid holiday if they need to work as an added benefit for staff so they can celebrate and/or have their birthday off with pay as a self-care day?

Thank you for your question. I have asked Chief Human Resources Officer Mark Niemeyer to address your question:

CHS is consistently reviewing our benefits to ensure market competitiveness, so any and all requests can be considered.

Most organizations offer 7 paid holidays, the national average is 7.6 paid holidays and CHS currently offers 10 paid holidays. The generous holiday offering coupled with front-loaded PTO (40 hours), VPTO (8 hours), and highly market-competitive PTO accruals provide solid opportunities for work-life balance and time for self-care.

And The Survey Says…

Please take time (under 10 minutes!) to complete the Employee Engagement survey sent out last week. This important survey gives us insight on how CHS is functioning from many perspectives—and your input is critical in this process to help us identify our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for the future. This semi-annual survey is open March 16–April 1.
