Congratulations to the following winners for Employee of the Month at Black Hills area campuses:
Beth Keizer: On March 29, wildfires started and presented a possible threat to BHCH campus. Beth, as the acting program director, took action immediately. Not only did Beth stay updated on the wildfires (where they were, the direction they were moving, containment, level of threat to BHCH, etc.), she made sure all senior leadership on campus was informed and gave them copies of our Evacuation Policy. Beth didn't stop there, she reviewed the Evacuation Policy with everyone she gave a copy to, ensured they knew what there role/job was if BHCH needed to evacuate. Throughout this process, Beth was very empathetic towards the staff, answered all questions, helped staff not go down the "what if" rabbit hole, and calmed any anxiety the staff had. Beth continued to demonstrate the Core Values throughout the night and the following day. Beth stayed the night on campus to ensure there would be enough staff to evacuate, if needed. The following day, Beth made sure all senior leadership on campus still knew what their roles would be and informed those who were not on campus the previous day. Beth continued to monitor the wildfires and updated the staff throughout the day. Beth did an absolute amazing job! THANK YOU, BETH!!

Donna Reil: Donna has been helpful and filling in on several of the weekends when we have been short on nights. As a newer NTC, I appreciate Donna's knowledge and experience. She is an excellent resource to bounce ideas off of or to ask her opinion about a potential problem. Thanks Donna.
~ Nominated by Craig Walton
Chelsie Ogaard: always has time to listen, support, guide, and care for her staff. I very much appreciate her willingness to stop what she is doing to give time to others, provide feedback, encourage, and push towards the betterment of all. She leads by example in her bold personality, her expectations, providing clarity and perspective, listening, and empowering her staff. Thanks, Chelsie, for all you do!

Congratulations to the following winner for Employee of the Month at Children’s Inn/Bright Start:
Hollie Consoer: Hollie spent over 3 hours with a non-English speaking dad and his one month old son, after the mother(Hollie’s client) was arrested and taken to jail, helping the dad get connected to resources necessary for him to continue to care for the baby. Hollie exemplified the true meaning of “we are better together!” Without Hollie, who knows how things would have turned out for this dad and baby, but now the dad can feel comfortable caring for his newborn son, has all the resources he will need and continue to have Hollie for parenting support and questions. Thank you Hollie for going above and beyond in serving our families.

Congratulations to the following winners for Employee of the Month at Sioux Falls Children’s Home campus:
Lynelle Andal: I would like to nominate Lynelle for taking on extra duties, especially all things psychiatric transcription-wise, and for being so willing to always go the extra mile to get questions answered and procedures defined. She is truly a team player, and just a wonderfully kind and generous person! Thank you Lynelle!
~ Nominated by Kris Murray
Kay Francis: Kay is always willing to help out where needed even when it is outside of her typical duties. Kay has done a lot of work inside classrooms, helping cover/supervise kids over the last several months as staff are gone and class sizes are larger. Thanks, Kay for all you do to keep kids safe.
~ Nominated by Kelsey Weber
Jade Roozenboom: Since day one, Jade has been always an upbeat fun person on the team. She never fails to pick up and take off with a project including learning new things. She loves the kids and has made her way into the hearts of the kids. That's what we are here for—the kids—and she makes it easy.
