Employee of the Month
Congratulations to the following winners for Employee of the Month at Black Hills Children’s Home:
Tifanie Petro: Tifanie took on the huge task of adding videos to the All Hands powerpoint. Not only did she have to track people down to get her the videos, she had to work with various formats of the videos to get them all to work in the way needed for the presentation. I am so grateful Tifanie took on this huge undertaking and did so with patience and a "we got this" attitude, which is how she approaches so many things. She is a tenacious, committed, and amazing person. CHS is so lucky to have her!
Nominated by Amy Carter
Shannon VanHart: Just wanted to thank you for always going above and beyond when it comes to pushing laundry through during your shift. It really helps us out on the night shift!
Nominated by Donna Reil
Rachel Kraft: Every morning except for Wednesdays, Rachel Kraft continues to exhibit kindness, patience and teamwork when we work wake-ups on East unit. She then comes down to the school and teaches her classroom with her students best interest in mind. Big ups to you, Rachel!

Congratulations to the following winners for Employee of the Month at Children’s Inn/Bright Start:
Melissa Edman: Melissa was recently asked to step in and help the CHS accounting department during this time of transition. With turnover in the department, they have been short-handed and Melissa was asked to help. Without hesitation, Melissa stepped out of her comfort zone and jumped right in. She is currently spending up to 3 mornings a week assisting accounting with data entry, or whatever task is needed. Thanks, Melissa, for helping the team be better together!

Congratulations to the following winners for Employee of the Month at Sioux Falls Children’s Home:
Ian Scoggins: This nomination is for Ian, Karen, and the entire kitchen staff that so graciously leave left over food from the day in the freezer for overnight staff. It is very much appreciated and always delicious! Thanks for going out of your way to include overnights, and making sure we do not starve on our long shifts in the middle of the night. :)
Nominated by Jessica Mollet
Marybeth Jorgenson: Marybeth shows students that she cares about them through thoughtful notes, infectious smiles, and a no-nonsense way of nurturing and demonstrating prudent parenting. Thanks, Marybeth, for being such a rock around the middle school program!
Nominated by Ashley Eilertson
Ondrea Patzlaff: Ondrea created an entire day for Tina, Vanessa, Becca, and I to engage in self-care, training, and supportive conversation. Her attention to detail and care for her team exemplifies the core value that we are better together. In addition, Ondrea supported Tina and Anne in celebrating 103 WWK adoptions. Just yesterday she was running errands for the upcoming All-Hands meeting and asked if there was anything I needed as long as she was shopping. There is never a time when I knock on her door and ask, "Do you have a second?" that I hear the word, "No." Her leadership is a gift!
