Dining Hall Construction Q&A With Kids

Who has questions about the new SFCH dining hall demolition and construction? Everyone, including the kids! On September 14, Clint and Tony from Lloyd Companies came to campus, joining Facilities Director Jeff Bass to answer kids’ questions and to raise awareness about construction safety.

The children had excellent (and funny) questions, including:

• Why are we building a new dining hall? (Too small)

• Will there be a wrecking ball? (No)

• Why are there so many flags in the ground? (The flags mark the locations of underground power lines and cables)

• Will we still be able to eat outside? (Yes)

• What will happen to the dream catcher? (That hasn’t yet been decided)

• Will you be working on the weekends? (Sometimes)

When on the SFCH campus, keep your eye out for construction workers and equipment, and please obey all signs posted.
