Heartfelt Moments: Valentine’s Colors
February is filled with treats, love and bright colors. In celebration of Valentine’s Day last week, children at both campuses have been treated to parties, treats and crafts all month long. Recently, a few volunteers stopped by Rockerville to craft with the kids. Click here to read one volunteer’s experience.
Help Us Join the Fold!
CHS team members, we need your help! Do you know someone passionate about our mission to prevent, treat and heal trauma? Or
someone who wants to Stand for Good? If so, the Marketing Team is looking for community members, leaders, business owners, teachers, healthcare workers, etc.—people who are excited about the work we do at CHS—to be spokespeople for our Join the Fold campaign.
We have been creating Join the Fold videos to get community members engaged and excited to Stand for Good and fold origami swans and cranes for our next art installation at Shelter for Family Safety. Check out our most recent video featuring CHF Board Member Bobby Sundby.
If you know someone in your community who you think would be great to Join the Fold, please contact Marketing with your name suggestions.
BHCH Goes Polar!
The temperatures may be getting a little frosty outside, but our CHS polar plunge team is heating up! We are excited to share that they have surpassed their $1,100 goal and have now raised $1,600! This means instead of 11 people, we now have 14 people taking the icy plunge!

Don’t forget to come cheer on the BHCH team this Sunday, February 23 at 141 East Omaha Street, Rapid City, SD. Registration begins at 11 am and plunging commences at 1 pm.

Name: Candi Eaton
Position: Team Coordinator, BHCH West Unit
Years at CHS: 15 years and 8 months
Did you hear the news? This month’s Seasoned Staff is BHCH West Unit Team Coordinator Candi Eaton! Candi has been with CHS for almost 16 years! A moment she will never forget is when she and other staff got stuck in Rockerville during the Atlas Blizzard in 2013.
“It’s a hard memory,” said Candi. “But we proved that we can work together.”
