Some changes are just plain hard…
As we all learned last week, the PRIDE contract CHS has had for 22 years with the State of South Dakota will come to an end on May 31. The work of this program has been awarded to Lutheran Social Services.
Though this has been a bitter pill to swallow, we are so proud of the excellent work that has been accomplished by all of the CHS staff members who have worked for PRIDE in both of our Community Based Service (CBS) programs. They have set a very high bar for their successors.
Children’s Home Society would like to recognize, thank, and offer our very best wishes to all those who so faithfully served our children and families. You will be missed.

In his song “Friends” Michael W Smith said it best…
♫ Though it’s hard to let you go, in the Father’s hands we know,
That a lifetime’s not too long to live as Friends. ♫
