Open Enrollment Begins Today!

It’s time to choose a health plan that fits your needs! Open Enrollment officially opens today, October 27, and runs through November 7. Watch your emails for more information from HR.

Remember, this year is a Passive Enrollment Year, which means your current benefit elections will carry over to next year if you do not to take action in Paylocity—including if you’re currently not enrolled.

Signing up for your benefits is easy. Simply log in to Paylocity and go to the “Benefits” tab under “HR and Payroll,” and follow this guide.

October 20, 2025

Mark your calendars—it’s time to choose the health plan that best fits your needs! This year’s Open Enrollment runs from Monday, October 27 through Friday, November 7.

This year is a Passive Enrollment Year, which means your current benefit elections will automatically carry over to next year if you take no action in Paylocity—even if you’re not currently enrolled.

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to review your benefits and make any necessary changes. Please take time to add, cancel, or update your medical, dental, or vision coverage. You may also add or update dependents during this time.

We’re introducing a few updates to our medical and dental plans for 2026.

  • Medical premiums will slightly increase. CHS will continue to pay up to 87% of monthly premiums—depending on your plan.
  • Dental premiums will also slightly increase. CHS pays up to 63% on your behalf.
  • Fluoride treatments will now be covered twice per year for children up to age 19.
  • Full-mouth and panoramic x-rays will be covered once every five years.

Due to this year’s passive enrollment, we will not hold any in-person or virtual benefit meetings. However, we will send out more information and an overview video on October 27.

If you have any questions, please contact your HR Representative.

Last week, Heather Powell, VP of HR, sent out an all-staff email with important details. If you missed it, you can read her message below.

Good morning, CHS Team!

Open Enrollment for the 2026 benefit year will take place October 27–November 7 through Paylocity. This is your opportunity to review your benefits and prepare to make any changes for the upcoming year.

Key Details for the 2026 Open Enrollment Period

  • Passive Enrollment Year. If you take no action in Paylocity, your current benefit elections will automatically carry over into 2026 — including if you are not currently enrolled.
  • All employees are asked to log in to Paylocity to review current elections and confirm accuracy once the enrollment window opens on October 27.
  • Because this year’s enrollment is passive, there will be no in-person benefit meetings. On October 27, you’ll receive more information, including an overview video that walks through key updates and things to keep in mind as you review your benefits. Our HR and Payroll teams are here and happy to help with any questions along the way.

What to Review

  • If you need to add, cancel, or change medical, dental, or vision coverage.
  • If you need to add or remove eligible dependents.
  • After reviewing your current benefit coverage, considering if you need to switch plans (e.g., from Traditional to High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)).

Plan Updates for 2026

  • Medical premiums will increase slightly. CHS continues to pay up to 87% of monthly premiums, depending on plan elections.
  • Dental premiums will increase slightly. CHS pays up to 63% on your behalf. Dental plan updates:
    • Fluoride treatments now covered twice per year up to age 19
    • Full-mouth/panoramic X-rays covered once every 5 years

Special Enrollments for 2025 Benefit Year

If you need to make an eligible special enrollment change for coverage still in 2025, please contact Tiffany Facile or me directly. These must be handled manually during this period, as Paylocity cannot process both open and special enrollments at the same time.

Your Next Steps:

  • Review your current benefit elections, keeping in mind the items listed above under “What to Review.”
  • Watch for upcoming messages starting October 27 with detailed enrollment instructions and reminders.

Please reach out to me with any questions about your benefits or enrollment.

Thanks!
