As we observe the Veterans Day holiday in November, we would like to honor and thank the following CHS co-workers for their service to our military.
Meggan Cardona (RTC-SFCH)
Air National Guard – 3.5 years - Active
Ralph “Butch” Carrell (Overnight RTC-SFCH)
Marine Corps 1969-1973. Combat Action Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service medal w/ I star device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry unit citation w/ Palm Device, Vietnamese Civic Action Ribbon and Vietnamese Campaign Ribbon w/ device. Three Meritorious Masts and meritorious promotion to Sergeant E-5.
Keith Christofferson (Maintenance Assistant-SFCH)
Active Duty Air Force – 4 years Active Duty Army – 8.5 years Received Bronze Star in Desert Storm
Jaime DeJong (Teacher-SFCH)
Army National Guard – 12 years

There are three primary days set aside each year to honor our military men and women. Do you know the purpose for each?
Armed Forces Day is held the third Saturday of May and pays tribute to the men and women currently serving in the US Armed Forces.
Memorial Day is held the last Monday of May and honors the men and women who died while serving in the US Armed Forces.
Veterans Day is held every November 11 and commemorates all veterans of the US Armed Forces.
Crystal and Tammy’s 4th grade classroom (SFCH) wrote thank you notes and decorated posters for Veteran’s Day, to send to the VA hospital.
