After a difficult year, Christmas 2020 became very special for Children’s Home Society staff, with the announcement of salary increases across the board.

These are some of the comments that CEO Michelle Lavallee received following the announcement.

"I have only been here about 4 months and I have never felt as loved and as supported as I am here at Children’s Home Society…Your announcement this morning is icing on the cake. It means you are invested in us and you are invested in the mission of CHS as well. I am so happy and so lucky that God put me here at just the right time with just the right people. I love working here, I love the people, and I love these kids." 

"Thank you SO much for this most awesome of news! You care for your employees as much as these children and that is so heartwarming."

"Thank you for making this happen for the staff. The impact that had on the morale of the employees is indescribable. This was one of the most impactful gestures that could have been made for the adults caring for kids and their personal lives as well as the care our clients will get due to that direct correlation."

"I myself witnessed two adults cry when they heard this news due to their own financial needs and having to maybe leave to find higher pay. This was a game changer for them and they can now stay here with us and do what they truly love."
