New HR Policies Now in Effect

CHS has recently updated several HR policies and introduced one new policy to help clarify procedures and better align us with Council on Accreditation (COA) standards. Below is a brief overview of each policy. A list of all HR policies can be found here. If you have any questions, please reach out to your supervisor or the HR Department.
HR20: Employee Grievance Policy
This update clarifies the steps for raising and resolving workplace concerns, updates documentation and retention expectations, and provides direction when concerns fall under fraud or misconduct. Read the full policy here.
HR25: Fraud and Misconduct Policy
This policy establishes a clear and expedited process for reporting suspected financial misconduct or violations of local, state, or federal laws or regulations, including confidentiality and anti-retaliation protections. Read the full policy here.
HR46: Personnel Policies and Procedures
This update reflects current organizational practices and alignment with Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements. Read the full policy here.
HR48: Progressive Discipline Policy
This update provides clearer process steps, outlines documentation expectations, and reinforces guidance related to promotions or internal transfers while an employee is on a Written Warning or Performance Improvement Plan. Read the full policy here.
HR55: Termination Reinstatement Policy
This update adds a resignation notice expectation for Director-level roles and above—four weeks’ notice. The existing two-week notice requirement remains for all other positions. Read the full policy here.
