If you’ve walked around the SFCH campus lately, you may have noticed a colorful new addition outside Loving School. It’s been about a month since CHSter joined the SFCH campus and already he has grown to more than 66 rocks!

Loving School Teacher Abbi Zuehlke came up with the idea of CHSter as she was walking around her neighborhood and saw a family do something similar in their yard. She thought it would be a fun project to bring to campus as a way to unite staff, classrooms, families and volunteer groups together.

“Seeing CHSter grow so quickly has been really heartwarming,” said Abbi. “I have spent time with my class where we admire the creative rocks out there.”

Each rock is painted so uniquely different and showcases the creativity and talent we have on campus. Abbi said she has heard from a few people about how much they have come to enjoy CHSter.

“The kids have enjoyed participating in the rock painting and many have been able to connect content they've learned in art class and apply it to their rock creations,” said Abbi. “They love being able to look at and discuss the rocks that others have painted.”

There is no deadline to paint a rock and add it to CHSter, so let's see how long we can extend him. Happy painting!
