The South Dakota Joint Committee on Appropriations will tour Sioux Falls Children’s Home on Tuesday, September 19. Please remember to park in designated parking areas only.

Members of this legislative committee are elected officials who determine annual funding for CHS. The purpose of the tour is for committee members to learn firsthand about the work being done at SFCH residential treatment and education.

The attendees will include legislative staff, local legislators from Sioux Falls, Joint Committee on Appropriations members and their spouses, Department of Social Services Cabinet Secretary Matt Althoff, members of the CHS and CHF boards, the Executive Team and selected directors.

The tour will affect schedules and parking up until 1 p.m. Maintenance will have cones set out to indicate where staff may park that day. Employees should not park in the designated parking spots, highlighted in purple, on Tuesday, September 19. Employees may park, with the exception of denoted CHS reserved parking spots, south of the Van Demark sidewalk, the 3^rd Street building lot, or on the street. Restricted parking will include the United Way spot(s).
