Kindness Works

The CHS Kindness Works program provides gifts for employees during life transitions, including marriages, new children, hospitalizations or funerals/memorials. 

ORDERING PROCESS

Supervisors should initiate the ordering process by gathering:

• Employee name and mailing address
• The occasion and information such as gender of child, relationship to deceased, etc.
• Include any additional relevant information to help with personalization, such as favorite color, foods, hobbies, etc.

Email this information to the designated purchaser for your campus:

• Melissa Joachim – Sioux Falls Campus
• Nicola Moliga – Black Hills Campus
• Maren Schaap – Messengers Campus
• Maddie Mortimore —Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety Campus
• Kathy Schneider – Bright Start Campus

Please send your request as soon as possible. Orders will take at least 48 hours and possibly more, depending on shipping. We will store funeral/memorial gifts on each campus. Supervisors will present these gifts to employees when they return to work.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not present cash, checks or gift cards to employees unless they are personal gifts, directly from you or other employees (and not from CHS). The IRS considers such gifts to be cash equivalents and therefore taxable income.
