Farewell Funski

For the past 35 years, the Media One Funski event has generated more than $1 million to support our programming at Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety. What started as a cross-country ski race grew into a multi-event weekend filled with snow sculptures, snowboarding, sledding and cross-country skiing.

It’s a remarkable achievement to have an event run this long, but a mutual decision was made that the Media One Funski event will not be held in 2025.

We want to extend a special thank you to our Foundation Board Member Greg Blomberg and his team at Media One, Great Bear Ski Valley, and all our additional partners and sponsors for their long-standing support and commitment to keeping children and families safe.

Many of you have participated in the Funski events through the years, and those memories will last a lifetime. We are grateful to everyone who partnered with us, attended the event, and made contributions. You all are the ones who put the "fun" in Funski. Thank you!

SAVE THE DATE 

The dates have been set for the 2025 Employee Appreciation events, now let’s get ready to party! We can’t wait to celebrate YOU! 

• BHCH staff will be celebrating on Tuesday, February 4, from 5:30-9 PM at the Rushmore Hotel. 
• SFCH and Shelter staff will meet on Thursday, February 13, from 5:30-9 PM at the Sanford Event Barn. 

We are planning to have gluten-free and vegan meals available. If you have dietary needs outside of those restrictions, please contact Erica Krohn no later than Friday, January 24
