Welcome to Good Works Weekly, your quick view of what’s coming up at CHS!
New employees and new board members will be attending orientation at BHCH and SFCH on Monday, March 21. Board members will be touring the campuses as well as our Child Advocacy Center and Children’s Inn.
CHS supervisors will be attending CHS U this week to learn about Coaching through Change, Disruption and Transormation. Classes will be held this week on Wednesday and Thursday.
Plan to attend one of the All Hands Meetings on Tuesday, March 29, or Wednesday, March 30. This is the time for you to ask questions and find out what’s been happening at CHS.
Since 2008, our Bright Start program has served nearly 1,300 families. This measures above the national average for Bright Start programs and represents the ultimate in prevention along the continuum of care and our mission — to prevent, to treat and to heal trauma. With early intervention, these women, even though at or below the national poverty level, have stunning outcomes and can become self sufficient, moving away from the need for government assistance.
The new 48,000 square foot building for Children’s Inn is scheduled to open at the beginning of November. The new facility will include a total of 96 beds in 38 bedrooms, larger family rooms, indoor and outdoor play space and enhanced dining accommodations.
