’Tis the Season: Christmas Events at BHCH and SFCH
It’s another busy week filled with Christmas activities at both Black Hills and Sioux Falls Children’s Home.

As a reminder, please do not park in front of the Sioux Falls Admin building. These spaces are reserved for visitors and guests.

Christmas Eve/Morning Gift Wrapping

Monday, December 19
On December 19, Christmas morning gifts are wrapped. Please make arrangements with maintenance to determine where your unit’s gifts will be stored.

Tuesday, December 20
At 11:00 am, Christmas stockings will be assembled for all units.

At 1:00 pm, unit directors, therapists, and teachers can select items for client use.

Owen School Art Room and Gym (ALL DAY)

Wednesday, December 21
At 10:00 am, the Black Hills Children’s Home/Owen School Christmas Program “Tracking Santa” begins. Thursday, December 22
From 11:45–2:30 pm, Owen School students take a field trip to the 1880 Train.

Quarterly Check-ins
It’s time for supervisors to check in with staff to review and discuss 2023 goals. On December 20, supervisors will receive a notification to begin quarterly reviews. Check-ins are due on January 23, 2023.

Beer & Cupcakes Fundraiser
WoodGrain Brewing Company and Intoxibakes are collaborating on a “Beer and Cupcakes” fundraiser for CHS. You can join the fun on Wednesday, December 21, from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WoodGrain Brewing Company, 101 S. Phillips Ave. (9th & Phillips).
