The Art of Diversity

The children of Madsen Up expressed their ideas on what they could do to make a difference on Martin Luther King’s birthday and created artwork showing what diversity looks like.

Better Together

Chelsie Ogaard, Community Based Services (CBS) Program Director writes, “We had a rewarding reminder in CBS a few weeks ago. One of the infants we have in placement in Rapid City had a medical emergency over the weekend. The foster mom performed CPR and resuscitated her. She was Life Flighted to Sioux Falls, where the foster mom and the birth mom were there to support baby, together. This is a great reminder of how we prepare our foster families that we are BETTER TOGETHER for the sake of the children we serve.”

CHS Takes Home Medals at the 33rd Media One Funski!

Many CHS staff made it out to Great Bear Ski Valley January 21 and 22 to compete in the events at Media One Funksi, which benefits our own Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety.

Our C-Suite Catalysts (Mark Niemeyer, Joe Herdina, Rick Weber, and subbing in for Michelle Lavallee, Karl Jegeris) took the silver medal in the Snow Tube Races on Friday night, beating out several other teams including our own team from Van Demark Up!

Christine Farnum from Van Demark Up also won Bronze in the Corporate Cup (downhill skiing) and Van Demark Down's snow sculpture tied for first place in the People's Choice vote on the Snow Sculpture Contest!

Other participation included Karl Jegeris in the Corporate Cup and Mark Niemeyer in the Zipfy Races!
