Amazon has notified Children’s Home Society that effective January 10, 2023, it will discontinue business account charging privileges. This is an Amazon policy that Children’s Home Society did not request and is unable to change.
It is our understanding that the last date on which purchases can be charged to our business account is January 9, 2023. Beginning January 10, 2023, the business account with its associated users will remain in place, but payment will need to be made at the time an order is placed. Corporate credit cards can be used to complete payment.
We recognize this change could affect purchasing patterns, vendor charge limits and credit card charge limits. We will work through items as they arise.
Anticipating an increase in corporate credit card usage, we offer the following corporate credit card holder reminders:
As a corporate credit card holder, you are responsible for the security of your corporate credit card along with the activity that is charged on your corporate credit card. This includes:
- Maintaining physical control of your corporate credit card at all times
- Not allowing other individuals to use your corporate credit card
- Ensuring that only authorized business purchases are charged on your corporate credit card
- Ensuring that all charges on your corporate credit card have adequate supporting documentation in place
- Obtaining your supervisor’s approval for all purchases completed on your corporate credit card
- Reviewing your monthly corporate credit card statement timely and reporting identified fraudulent activity immediately to Finance
