BHCH Title 1 Reading Specialist Cory Tomovick grew a massive pumpkin this year, which weighed 71 pounds at harvest time!

Cory came up with idea of passing out the puree to anyone who wants to use it for cooking. The hope is that the baked goods would be shared with staff or families through the upcoming holidays.

Her Great Pumpkin yielded 50 pounds of puree! The freezer in the Owen School is filled with two-cup bags of pumpkin puree. If you would like some, please stop by the school or contact Cory or Theresa Schreiner. If you need recipes, check out this site: https://www.food.com/ideas/pumpkin-puree-recipes-6997.

We look forward to trying new recipes and the sharing of the Great Pumpkin!
