At CHS, we believe in standing for good, being tenacious, choosing kindness and working as a team to prove we are better together. During last year’s Employee Appreciation event, many of you shared helpful feedback on how we could improve the annual awards. One consistent request was to have more time to nominate colleagues and hear about the good things happening in real time.

We listened, and we are excited to announce our new monthly employee recognition program—Stand Out for Good!

How it Works

If you see a coworker going above and beyond in kindness, tenacity, or teamwork, you can nominate them by scanning the QR code or visiting the Good Work portal page. On the form, enter your colleague’s name, their campus and the CHS value you would like to recognize them for. As the nominator, you will then describe how your teammate stood out.

Once you submit the form, HR will collect the names and send out an employee recognition card the following month. For example, if you nominate someone in July, they will receive their card in August. We will also feature employees in Good Works Weekly and on the CHS website.

Fun Fact

Clients can also nominate you if they feel you went above and beyond! Stand Out for Good is open to the public. Watch for QR codes on windows, doors and mirror clings across campuses.

Annual Awards

We hope this program will help recognize more employees in a timely matter for the amazing work they do every day. All monthly recognitions will also turn into nominations for the annual awards at next year’s Employee Appreciation event. Board members will continue to receive these nominations anonymously and will select a winner for Rising Star and Employee of the Year.

We are also adding nine additional awards to the Employee Appreciation event. Each campus—BHCH, SFCH and Shelter—will recognize three employees with awards for kindness, tenacity and an award for someone who exemplifies better together.
