Tell us about your family, including pets. I have two boys, a fiancé, a horse and a dog.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Brookings.

What are some of your favorites:
-Movies? My favorite movie is “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.”

-TV shows? My favorite show is “Yellowstone.”

-Books: I love anything by Jeffrey Deaver.

-Musicians? I enjoy 80’s music.

-Sports or teams? I love Minnesota Wild Hockey.

What are your hobbies? I love to crochet and spend time with my horse, Tessa.

What’s something that people would be surprised to know about you? I wanted to go to school to be a medical examiner.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? The biggest regrets in life are the risks you don’t take.

1. At the age of four, I attended a one–room country school.
2. I was cast in a commercial.
3. I was on the girls’ basketball team that made it to state.

What are some of the changes you have seen over your years with CHS? Our new Shelter for Family Safety building.

Do you have any advice for newly-hired employees? This is a “Learn as you go” place. You can’t be expected to know everything after one week.

Is there anything else you’d like to say about your time at CHS? I have absolutely LOVED my time at Children’s Inn/Shelter for Family Safety. I not only have the best boss but also an amazing team I have the privilege to work with. That makes all the difference between wanting to come to work and having to come to work.
