Dear CHS Team Member, Shelter days are up 57% over last year at Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety, That’s a huge increase. And it’s alarming. We have enough space in the new shelter to meet demand. But because part of our mission is to help prevent trauma, Children’s Home Society also works to educate and increase awareness about domestic violence. Our Drive Out Domestic Violence campaign (sponsored by Vern Eide Motorcars) is a social media initiative. Daily posts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn highlight statistics, facts and misconceptions. The campaign also raises money for Shelter for Family Safety, which is 75% funded by charitable giving. |
