As part of our ongoing efforts to improve safety across campus, we’ll be continuing the security updates to the Sioux Falls campus this week.
Today, September 2, we’ll begin installing a secondary doorbell at the Van Demark reception area for after-hours access.
Then, on Wednesday, September 3, we’ll start installing new security devices in the Madsen building. Convergint is performing the installation and will be on campus the remainder of the week.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we continue to strengthen our security. If you have any questions, please contact the IT department.

Beginning today—Monday, August 25—the Madsen building will be undergoing a few security upgrades. Crews from Convergint will be on site installing new security cameras and badge readers—similar to the recent improvements done at the Van Demark building.
Work on the building will occur from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and should be complete within three to four days. Please keep in mind that certain doors may be temporarily out of commission.
“These enhancements are an important step in strengthening CHS’s overall security posture and helping keep our staff and kiddos safe,” said IT Director Austin Winter.
If you have questions or concern about the new security measure, please reach out to the IT team.
