Meet the newest members of the CHS family

We hope you will enjoy these introductions to the most recent additions to our staff. Most of us can still remember how overwhelming those first days can be. So, look out for these folks, introduce yourself and offer a warm welcome!

Timothy O’Neal
Youth Care Provider

Hometown: Port Arthur, TX
Hobbies: I love anime, sports, reading and cooking.
What motivates you at work? My motivation is to start my own program for youth ages 18-25.
What’s your idea of a perfect day? I would wake up and get my work done and then watch a really good show.
How would your friends describe you? Understanding, thoughtful and loyal.
A little-known fact about me is that I love to listen to others in my downtime.
My most unusual talent is reading people.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Africa.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to always be true to yourself!
The last great TV show/movie I saw: “Dragon Ball Z.”
One item on my bucket list is to get a new car.
If I didn’t have to work, I would travel.

What motivates you at work? I am motivated by helping people on the job.
How would your friends describe you? I’m friendly and kind!
A little-known fact about me is that I love to organize but not routine clean.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to New York City.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not give up.
The last great TV show/movie I saw: “The Shawshank Redemption.”
If I didn’t have to work, I would help people.

Hobbies: I love hiking, coloring, knitting, painting and listening to music.
What motivates you at work? I’m motivated by collaboration and positivity.
What’s your idea of a perfect day? My perfect day consists of movies, popcorn and lots of laughs!
How would your friends describe you? I’m bubbly, caring, true to myself and weird—haha!
A little-known fact about me is that my dimple is actually a dog bite.
My most unusual talent is that I can crack my elbows.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to
Ireland!
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not sweat the small stuff.
The last great TV show/movie I saw: “Dexter,” and “Halloween, the Curse of Michael Myers.”
One item on my bucket list is attending a meet-and-greet concert or visiting the Redwood Forest.
If I didn’t have to work, I would
take a nap and play with the dogs and kids.

Hobbies: I love spending time with my family, beading, hanging out with my cat and listening to music.
What motivates you at work? Being able to come to work with a positive attitude.
What’s your idea of a perfect day? A sunny day above 85 degrees.
How would your friends describe you? Humble, giving and determined.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Brazil.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to for fight whatever you need to prove to others that you want to make something of yourself.
The last great TV show/movie I saw: “True Detective.”
One item on my bucket list is driving to Florida.
If I didn’t have to work, I would hang out with my cat.

Hobbies: I love rock hunting—agates are the best! I also enjoy rollerblading, painting, traveling, baking and taking care of my dogs.
What motivates you at work? My love of people—I’m very extroverted.
What’s your idea of a perfect day? Enjoying a nice meal with friends and family, then attending a concert or sporting event—especially the Minnesota Wild.
How would your friends describe you? High energy, weird, free spirit and wild.
A little-known fact about me is that I was active duty in the United States Coast Guard.
My most unusual talent is that I am a fantastic rollerblader.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to
the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is that attitude is everything!
The last great TV show/movie I saw: “Frankenstein” directed by Guillermo del Toro.
One item on my bucket list is to recertify my scuba diving certification and go diving in the Great Barrier Reef.
If I didn’t have to work, I would
travel to every country.

What’s your idea of a perfect day? Any day that I know my family is happy.
How would your friends describe you? Easy going, caring and responsible.
A little-known fact about me is that I was in the military right out of high school.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to
Ireland.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is from my dad. He told me that I will at times need to do things even though I may not want to do them.
One item on my bucket list is going on a golf trip in Ireland!
If I didn’t have to work, I would
travel and golf with my wife.

What’s your idea of a perfect day? The perfect day would include sleeping in, reading, going for a walk, and then taking a nap and reading some more.
How would your friends describe you? I’m easy-going, funny and big hearted.
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to each continent. I’ve been to three so far, and next year will be four!
The last great book I read: Lee Miller: A Life written by Carolyn Burke.
One of the items on my bucket list is to visit Machu Picchu—I get to do this in 2026!
If I didn’t have to work, I would read, travel and nap.
