At CHS (Society) and CHF (Foundation) board meetings, our board members are hearing reports of the cautionary measures, and the extraordinary efforts being made by our staff during this pandemic. Their appreciation and gratitude is expressed in these notes we have been asked to pass along to all CHS, Children’s Inn, and Bright Start staff members.

At this time of crisis in our nation, deservedly, a lot attention is being paid to “essential workers”. It occurs to me that the front line staff of Children Home Society and Children’s Inn, and all our other programs are “essential workers” 24/7/365 whether there is a pandemic or not. Please know how grateful I am and how much I admire you always, but especially now, as you serve children, women, and families by offering them care, shelter, safety, counseling, understanding, and hope. Thank you.
