I Spy a New Sign

Your eyes were not deceiving you if you drove north on Sycamore last week and thought you noticed Pride Neon installing something new. We are all about positive transformation here at CHS and what better way to show it to the world than by installing a brand-new beautiful street sign.

The sign comes as an initiative to modernize and refresh our SFCH campus. Click here to read more.

United Way Week

Mark your calendars and get ready for a week full of activities, dress-up days, and fun because United Way Week is just around the corner. Shelter will kick off United Way Week on September 16. Brush up on your Candyland, Checkers, and Clue skills because your theme is board games!

SFCH will celebrate United Way Week from October 23–30. Get ready for a spooktacular time because your theme is Halloween! Check back here for more information about your dress-up days.

Don’t worry, Rapid City crew, you’ll have a United Way Week too! Watch your emails and more information will be coming soon.

All employees will be given pledge cards, which are an easy way for you to give to United Way. Staff can choose to either have money deducted from their paychecks or do a one-time cash or check gift. For more information, click here.

CHS Scrapbook News

The Toczek family grew a little bigger on Thursday, August 29, with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl, Peyton Caroline Toczek. “What started as a routine appointment quickly turned into a trip to labor and delivery,” says Dad and HR Representative DJ Toczek.

Thankfully, the C-section went smoothly, and both mom and baby came through wonderfully. To see more pictures of Peyton and other Scrapbook news, click here.

FEATURED PET: GUS

Gillian Spiva, an Art Teacher at Owen School, and her fiancé recently adopted their first furry friend, a
13-week-old sheepadoodle named August, or “Gus” for short. She says, “Sheepadoodles make great
therapy dogs because of their kind personality and calming fur texture.” Click here to read more about Gillian and Gus
