Dear CHS Team Members,

After nearly a year, the construction projects on the Sioux Falls campus are nearing completion! The dining hall project is in its final stages, with equipment being set, punch list items being addressed, and origami art soon to be installed. The final inspection of the facility will take place the week of August 12, with meal preparation and serving beginning the week of August 19.

The Third Street (outpatient clinic) renovation project is mostly complete with only office set up, furniture purchase and security installation remaining. The facility is currently in a usable state for employees associated with the outpatient clinic, with the outpatient services component coming online as soon as all furniture has been installed.

Tours of both the dining hall and the Third Street building are available upon request beginning the week of August 12. If you or your team are interested in a tour, please reach out to a member of the facilities department to schedule.

The water main cut-over, parking lot lighting and expansion, circle drive and fire lane paving projects, and support buildings refresh have been finished, as well. The completion of these projects provides CHS with a robust water supply, much needed additional parking, improved lighting and security and better traffic flow and building access, all with an updated look for the campus.

Remaining landscaping items associated with each building and construction project will be completed post-Labor Day when the weather is cooler and more conducive to planting and seeding.

CHS is blessed to have the ability to update our facilities, and these campus enhancements will certainly benefit the children and families we serve, CHS employees and the greater community.
