Marina is a Native American child and Native American families will be given preference; however, all home studied families are being considered at this time.
Marina, age 12, describes herself as kind, outgoing, smart, and a little bit sassy. Marina is a bright girl who can be very insightful. One of the people close to Marina says, “Marina likes to figure things out, solve problems, and be creative. Marina has a very big heart and cares for others.”
Marina is in the 7th grade for the 2020-2021 school year. She is a deep thinker. Though her favorite class is science class, she does well in all her classes. Marina is very curious and interested in other cultures—particularly South Korea and India. Her dream is to travel to all the states and countries in her lifetime and to help people who are poor.
Marina loves K-pop music and the BTS band. Someday she would like the chance to try out for basketball and to sing in a choir. Marina enjoys scary movies and books about drama. She loves spicy foods including hot tamales and hot takis.
Marina enjoys going to powwows and has been a shawl dancer. She recently learned how to make beaded earrings. Marina wants people to know that she likes to finish her projects instead of giving up on them.
Marina would do best in a two-parent home where she is the youngest or an only child. She would also do great in a family with two moms. Marina enjoys having cats and dogs as pets but is also a fan of cheetahs, lions, and chameleons! While it is important to Marina to stay in contact with her siblings and other supportive adults in her life, she is open to living in other states.
