Enough Abuse in Schools

This session is intended specifically to introduce the Enough Abuse curriculum to school administrators, teachers, school coaches, parents and other school employees. It includes an overview of:


- Part I: Defining the nature and scope of child sexual abuse and sexual exploitation;
- Part II: Preventing sexual abuse and sexual misconduct in schools; and
- Part III: Legal obligations of school personnel to report child sexual abuse.

Included in the training is a listing of specific physical and psychological boundary-violating behaviors that schools should consider when reviewing their Code of Conduct policies or adopting new ones.

Objectives
• Understand the nature and scope of child sexual abuse and exploitation
• Learn strategies for preventing sexual abuse and misconduct in youth-serving organizations
• Recognize and respond to boundary violating behaviors
• Understand the importance of creating codes of conduct and policies to protect children, staff and the school community
• Learn how to respond to disclosures
• Understand Mandatory Reporting roles, obligations and process
