Have you ever thought, “What is wrong with this child?” Perhaps the question should be, “What has happened to this child?”

Join us for this free series on Trauma-Informed Child Care Services. You can change the world for children in your care by becoming trauma aware and informed.

As a prerequisite for enhanced understanding, you are encouraged to attend the June 8 workshop, Understanding ACEs: Building Self-Healing Communities.

This training series will help you:

  • Become aware and informed about how trauma affects child behavior, child development and the growth of the brain, and child relationships.
  • Expand your skills to respond to children, identify coping responses and build strengths and resilience.
  • Identify “developmentally expected” sexual behaviors of children ages 0 to 5.
  • Respond to all sexual behaviors in ways that promote healthy development of children and that support bystanders who may be affected.
  • Identify “yellow light” behaviors of young children that require correction and monitoring and “red light” behaviors that require referral or reporting to local child protection agencies.
