Trauma-Informed Parenting – TBRI The Connecting Principles
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a holistic approach that is multi-disciplinary, flexible, attachment-centered and challenging. It is an evidence-based trauma-informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places, such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence, but the principals apply to all children.
TBRI consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering and Correcting Principles. In this training caregivers will gain an understanding of TBRI Connecting Principles, which are the heart and soul of TBRI, helping children build trust and meaningful relationships. This training will provide caregivers with knowledge and tools to relate deeply to the children in their care.
