Keeping Kids Safe – April 2025 Learning Series Flyer

Child sexual abuse is “a silent epidemic,” according to the American Medical Association. The Enough Abuse series empowers parents, youth, professionals and other concerned adults to prevent people from victimizing children and youth today and to prevent children from developing abusive behaviors in the future. “It’s Not Just Jenna” is a compelling, 30-minute video featuring the true story of a family whose lives were changed after 16-year-old Jenna Quinn revealed that she had been sexually abused by a trusted family friend.

In these sessions, you will:

  • Understand child abuse as a public health problem
  • Understand the nature and scope of child sexual abuse and exploitation
  • Recognize signs and conditions that support child sexual abuse
  • Recognize potential grooming behaviors in adults
  • Learn strategies for preventing child sexual abuse
  • Learn how to respond to disclosures and report child sexual abuse
  • Recognize behaviors in children or teens that might indicate sexual abuse
  • Know why it’s difficult for victims of child sexual abuse to disclose

All participants will receive a “What If” card set of their age preference.
