Children’s Home Society of South Dakota (CHS) announces that Shannon Clark will be Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Controller of the organization beginning February 6, 2022.

“We are delighted to welcome Shannon to CHS,” said CEO Michelle Lavallee. “Her nonprofit experience, accounting expertise and passion for our mission bring essential strengths to the executive team as we move into the future.”

Clark was with the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in the finance department for the last 14 years. Most recently, her focus was on developing affordable housing for the elderly.

Previously, Clark spent 10 years in public accounting in Sioux City, IA, and Sioux Falls, SD. She earned a master’s degree in professional accountancy from the University of South Dakota.

Clark will work closely with Joe Herdina, the current CFO of CHS, as he transitions out of his role to focus on important special projects until the end of 2022.
