SIOUX FALLS, SD—On Wednesday, January 22, Schulte Subaru donated 120 brand new coats to Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety to help children who are in urgent need of staying warm this winter.

“We are grateful for the support and generous donations from our friends at Schulte Subaru,” says Children’s Home Foundation Chief Philanthropy Officer Jon Mammenga. “The people who enter our doors are struggling and in crisis mode. Given how cold it’s been recently, it’s nice to be able to take one burden off their shoulders and provide their children with a warm, new coat.”

Through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, and Subaru’s partnership with Operation Warm, Schulte Subaru can provide new coats, socks and shoes to children in need between the ages of three and 13.

“This year, through our initiative, we are proud to donate 120 brand new coats to Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety,” says Schulte Subaru Office Manager Olana Munson. “We believe every child deserves access to basic necessities like a warm coat, and we’re grateful to partner with an organization that is making a profound impact on families in our community.”

Schulte Subaru staff also donated a message board with motivational stickers for the children. The stickers included notes such as, “I am loved,” “I am kind” and “I am courageous.”

After all the coats were brought into the building, Subaru staff were invited to take a tour and learn more about the important services Shelter for Family Safety provides.
